Copper Thinking

We were visited today by “crakerjack” salesman of copper cabling (and other things cabling related).  Interesting were his responses to several questions we asked.

How is your company addressing “wireless?”  What are your views on “future proofing?”  Are you participating in any market (public) eduction regarding claims by substitute industries?  What do you percive as your biggest threat?  Has this economy changed your marketing and operating dynamics?  

Copper is the most “non sexy” boring item in the construction budget.  It competes with the window treatments, landscaping, and other line item budgets.  Over the next several weeks, I plan to post article(s) addressing these items, addressing his responses, and follow ups (without naming names).
