Today, at the monthly eLife Apple User Group, my wife and I learned a bit of technical “know how” that may make our lives much easier. Not to bore you with specifics, we learned how to electronically combine our family calendars through our respective MobileMe accounts. Very cool, very useful.
My wife is the organized partner in our marriage. Seldom does a day pass that she is not reminding me of an appointment, a child’s event or a scheduling commitment in which my attendance is required. Like Pavlov’s dog, I find myself looking at our family calendar prominently displayed on our refrigerator for all to see.
After twenty-five (25) years of marriage, it is fun to go to an event where my wife and I share the same ‘limited’ knowledge, then work collaboratively on making it work for us and our family.
The user group room has many technically savvy folks in attendance. But kudos on their demeanor and willingness to assist the ones of us more technically challenged. Ed, Stewart, Anthony, and others… thank you. Had a great time! Recommended to all couples seeking things that make life work better. And I speak for the boss and me!
