"Green" products should come in "Green" packaging

Go Green with Crestron

"Crestron is dedicated to the "green" initiative, providing the most energy efficient and environmentally safe systems on the planet." - Crestron website.

Crestron makes some of the best automation products in the industry, which is why we are very proud to be associated with them as dealers. However, I just could not help but comment on the huge package I received from the Crestron engraving departement today containing 24 very small keypad buttons.

I actually laughed out loud at the absurdly large box sitting on my desk when I walked into my office today. Keep in mind that Crestron problably has every “Green” rating in the book, but obviously has overlooked their own inefficiency in packing the vary products that they so proudly proclaim as “Green”.

Sorry Crestron, this ain't "Green"!

Just to make sure I go this right… what is in your hand (last photo) was packed in all those packages (photo #1, #2, #3, #4, & #5)? Wow. Are the fragile? How much was it insured?

  2. Agee says:

Perhaps they believe by opening so many packages you’ll feel like the cost of the buttons was justified.

Perhaps a call to the manufacturer offering “constructive” criticism might be a good step. ~ f
