Saturday [once again!], eLifespaces and its group of technology independent contracting enterprises, continued its commitment in assisting the South Carolina’s Department of Transportation and the many other fine organizations involved in “Adopt-a-Highway.” Now celebrating its 22nd Anniversary (1988-2010), Adopt-a-Highway has been one of the most successful programs in combating litter along South Carolina highways ever enacted.
Beginning at mid-day, individuals from the eLife family began sweeping the two mile stretch of King Street between Mt Pleasant Street and Summerville Avenue. Thirty-three (29) orange bags of trash (that’s 435 pounds!) were collected, not to mention the beer cans, railroad ties and assorted other disgusting items. Winner of the Most Notable find – Santa Clause’s hat and a box of Christmas cards!

That was hard work! In hindsight, very rewarding. To do something for the community made the day (week, month) complete. Back is killing me!
